I bought this for my 9 month old and it’s a hit. The pages are just a quick two line rhyme and the illustrations are very colorful. There are talking points and information in back for parents. This book is more about starting conversations than it is about trying to explain. We are big fans in our house!!
THIS DAY IN JUNE is a wonderful book to read with young kids, offering lots of delightful text and brilliant illustrations as conversation starters, or to just enjoy in the moment. The celebratory spirit of Pride comes through loud and proud. Loved it.
Artwork is beautiful, message is fun! The resource section in the back of the book is profound! I ordered one for all of my nieces and nephews!
Awesome book. Great art. The section in the back for parents is very helpful for adults who want to talk to their kids about LGBT topics but don't know how. Excellent book. Very fun to read.

Great age appropriate description of the PRIDE parade. The parents I gave it to object because"she like it so much we have to read it year round." Exactly!
